The membership of the coalition is open only to organization which do not have any form of association or affiliation with any tobacco company/organization, affiliate, subsidiary, associate etc. No member of the applicant organization should hold shares of any tobacco company or its affiliate, subsidiary or associate company/unit/organization. The applicant organization should be willing to represent the coalition in its geographical area and thereby further the objective of a tobacco free India.

Membership Contribution for the first member organization from each district has been waived. All other members are expected to pay a sum of Rs. 1000/- as annual contribution towards coalition affiliate contribution. However the "Tobacco Free India Trust" shall offer  by invitation a limited number of affiliate memberships with fee-waiver from time-to-time. Lifetime affiliation contribution to the "Tobacco Free India Trust" is Rs. 100000 at present.
